Swindon Lions Club will be holding its annual fireworks show at the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road.    

In addition to the Fireworks display and BBC Radio Wiltshire's Dominic Cotter and Shaun Hodgetts there will also be a funfair as well as refreshment stalls.   

Entry will be by tickets purchased in advance only and tickets can either be purchased from the One Stop Shop, Guildford Avenue, Lawns or on-line – see our web-site for the link: https://swindonlions.org/fireworks/

The net proceeds from the fireworks display will be used by the Lions Club for charitable causes.  

Saturday 1st November 2025
Gates Open, Funfair from 5.00pm.  Firework display 6.45pm promptly

Access to the Polo Ground will only be from Marlborough Road (close to the Windsor Road mini-roundabout) and Downs View Road.
Please note there will be no access to the Polo Ground from Carlton Gate/Broome Manor or from Coate Water.  

Ticket Sales
Adults (age 16 and over) £10
Child (aged 5 to 15) £5
Family (max 2 adults and 3 paying children) £25.00

Please note that children aged 4 and under are free and do not need paper tickets but free on-line tickets are available for children aged 4 and under.  

Tickets are available on-line at the same prices with a booking fee added.  

Entertainment and Refreshments: Edwards Funfair; BBC Wiltshire’s Dominic Cotter and Shaun Hodgetts; Refreshment stalls selling a range of food.  

To speed up payment the funfair and caterers are asking for customers to use cash.  

FREE Park and Ride at Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way, SN3 1TAFollow the signs to the Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way.

ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 30 MINUTES to travel on the FREE Park and Ride double decker bus from the Nationwide Car Park to the Polo Ground.  
The fireworks display will start promptly at 6.45pm.  

No parking will be permitted in Downs View Road.      

Disabled Access: Arrangements can be made for those who need disabled access.  Please email Lion Richard on contact@swindonlions.org  Car access will only be given to cars displaying the disabled badge and cars need to arrive at the Marlborough Road entrance before 4.45pm.  Cars will not be able to leave the Polo Ground before the mass of pedestrian traffic has eased which is expected to be around 7.30pm.  
The Lions Club of Swindon reserves the right to refuse vehicular entrance to any vehicle in the case of poor ground conditions.  

The Fireworks display is held to raise funds for the Swindon Lions so that the club is able to respond to requests for assistance.  Over the past year the club has supported the following causes:

Community causes                                           £13,000 *

Youth in Swindon area                                       £2,800

* Community causes includes local groups such as Prospect Hospice, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a local primary school, The Neuro Wellbeing Centre, Kids Cancer Charity, Tiny but Mighty, Dressability, Kelly Foundation, Swindon Food Collective, Swindon Downs Syndrome Group, Salvation Army & Army Cadet Force.  

Important information: No sparklers, fireworks or alcohol are to be brought onto the Polo Ground by members of the public.  
We also ask that the public do not bring animals to the event.
