The Malmesbury Carnival & Festival is a month-long community celebration throughout August, organised by volunteers to benefit local causes. Highlights include Open Gardens, a Scarecrow Trail, Petticoat Lane market, family fun days, music in historic abbey cloisters, quizzes, talks, workshops, and more. The grand finale is a vibrant Carnival Procession on Saturday, 30 August, featuring walking groups, costumes, floats, and prizes. With events ranging from live music and wine tasting to family crafts and quizzes, the festival draws inspiration from over a century of local tradition and supports charitable initiatives across the town.
