Get ready for one of the village’s most loved summer traditions as the Christian Malford Duck Race returns for 2026, with family fun, riverside races and the chance to win cash prizes.

Christian Malford Duck Race 2026

• Location: Malford Meadow, Christian Malford, SN15 4BQ

The annual Christian Malford Village Hall fundraiser promises an afternoon of quacking good fun as hundreds of ducks race along the river in a series of heats before the grand finale.

Families can buy duck entries online or from the Christian Malford Village Shop, then collect their duck numbers on arrival at the event. If you cannot attend on the day and your duck wins, organisers will still contact you.

How the Duck Race Works

There will be multiple preliminary races throughout the afternoon, with the top three ducks from each heat progressing to the Grand Finale race to crown the 2026 winning ducks.

Grand Finale prizes include:

• 1st place: £200
• 2nd place: £100
• 3rd - 10th place: £10

Cold drinks will also be available to purchase during the event.

Parking and Access

Parking is available in the meadow via The Green entrance and will be clearly signposted on the day. Pedestrian access is available from Church Road, next to the school.

Please note that the meadow and riverside ground may be uneven, so suitable footwear is recommended and children should be supervised at all times.

The nearest toilets are located at the village hall, approximately an 8-minute walk away.
