PYO Pumpkin at Lotmead Farm

Pumpkin picking at Lotmead is back for October, with plenty of time to hunt down the right one for carving, decorating or turning into soup. The useful bit is that your entry fee becomes a token to spend against the price of the pumpkins you pick.

Pumpkin Picking at Lotmead Farm

• Date: 5 October to 1 November 2026

• Time: 9.30am to 5pm

• Cost: £2.50 per person aged 3+. Your £2.50 entry token can be redeemed against the price of your pumpkin

• Location: Lotmead Pick Your Own, Wanborough Road, Wanborough, Swindon, SN4 0SN

• Booking required: Advance booking recommended. On-the-door entry may be available, subject to availability, and costs an additional 50p per person

• Suitable for: Ages 3+ require an entry ticket

Check in at the shop when you arrive, collect a trolley and your tokens, then head out to the pumpkin patch to choose your haul.

Your booked time slot is your entry time, rather than the length of your visit, so there's no need to race around the field once you're in. Just remember that the whole site closes at 5pm.

The £2.50 entry charge can be put towards the cost of your pumpkin, and picked pumpkins should keep well somewhere cool and dry until Halloween as long as you don't carve them. Lotmead does warn that pumpkins are subject to availability, so earlier in the month is the safer bet if you've got your heart set on a good rummage through the patch.
