Get ready for the most magical day of the year, Old Town’s Christmas Festival returns, with lights, music, festive food and much more across Wood Street, Victoria Road and surrounding streets.

• Christmas market & trader stalls offering gifts, crafts, seasonal treats
• Live performances, local stars, street entertainment, headline acts
• Santa’s Grotto for children, photo opportunities and festive wonder
• Light switch-on ceremony, with a countdown and the turning on of our Christmas display
• Street food & drinks, festive specials, mulled wine, hot chocolate and local flavours
• Fun Fair provided by the awesome Steven Hill.

The streets will be closed to traffic for the whole day, we’ll publish a full road closure, parking and transport plan in advance.

Why are there tickets for a public event?

We are asking people to donate £1.85 each to attend the Old Town Christmas Festival. Firstly, so we have a good idea of numbers (as we have a capacity of 5000 we cannot exceed). Also it costs us over £25,000 to put this event on and we have some amazing sponsors (South Swindon Parish Council, Deacons, Los Gatos, TECC, Sinewave & Dominos Old Town), but a very small public donation, will help us to continue to invest in the event every year.

Because of last year’s fundraising, we are installing a new carpet of LED’s on Victoria road, all thanks to people like you, chipping in and making it possible. You will still be able to attend the event without getting a ticket, but you will need to get in early, as once we are at capacity, other than those with tickets, we can’t let anymore people in.
