Lotmead Farm is the place to go for a great family day out! 

We are famous for Pick Your Own, but there's a host of adventures for little and big kids!

Children’s Adventure Play Area

Our fruit themed play area to stimulate young adventurers – once you’ve helped the farmer track down the strawberry thief, come and visit his factory! This hand-crafted wooden structure provides an amazing space for pre-teenage children with varying levels of exciting physical challenges with walkways, platforms and climbing frames.

Children can still enjoy our tyre tower, swings, monkey bars, maze and a giant bee! Plus there’s lots of space for children to run around in. With our café and farm store close by, you can sit outside and relax with a tea or coffee and bite to eat whilst keeping an eye on the kids as they play.

Animal paddock

For animal lovers there’s a small animal enclosure with a selection of pygmy goats, alpacas, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs and lots of small furry animals that children simply adore.

Firm favourites back this season include Denzil the donkey and Tango the Shetland pony, Our new alpacas, Persil and Hermes are keen to meet new friends, as well as Kunekune pigs, waiting for a back scratch from you too.

Family Day & Season Passes

Make the most of Lotmead this summer with our special family passes giving you and your children unlimited day or seasonal access to our fantastic farm activities which include:

Farm Shop, the heart of Lotmead

Our well-stocked Farm Shop sells a wide variety of locally sourced produce and sometimes a selection of pre-picked vegetables. Our shelves are filled with local milk and cream from Berkeley Farm Dairy in Wroughton, honey from the farm, as well as lots of delicious treats too. Our cafe serves a tasty variety of hot and cold snacks, drinks and sandwiches all freshly prepared each day, as well as slices of home-baked cakes, ice creams, soft drinks and juices. We have lots of outside seating, including picnic benches in the children’s play area so you can relax outside with a bite to eat and a cup of tea whilst keeping an eye on the kids as they play.

We are open throughout the summer for PYO and entry is free. Whilst the availability of each crop will vary across the season, here’s what we grow at Lotmead:

Halloween & Christmas

We are growing more pumpkins each year so join us for pumpkin picking and Halloween Fun over the October holidays, then come late November we are the place to come for the best fresh tree in town, be it freshly cut or one of our Rental trees!

 Dogs welcome: Please feel free to bring your well behaved dog to Lotmead provided they remain on a lead throughout their visit. Please use the bins provided to clear up any messes too!

Campers & motorhomes welcome: Britstop members who come in a Camper or Motorhome you are always welcome to stay overnight without charge unless you hook up to electricity. What could be better than to have freshly picked strawberries for breakfast?
