The Richard Jeffries Museum present Lazy Summer Sundays

Every Sunday from May 1st to September 25th, 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

You can laze about in our beautiful gardens, have a look around the museum, and enjoy free live music on just about all of the afternoons. The cafe will be serving cream teas, as well as the usual teas, coffee, and our delicious cakes. On some Sundays we have live music playing in the garden (stating around 2pm), plus we have our fourth annual Steam & Cream Teas event in July. The list is currently as below, but watch out as we book more events for the remaining dates.

23rd/24th July - Steam & Cream Teas, with steam traction engines, vintage agricultural equipment and various stalls. Live music on both days

31st July – live music from Christine Kinder

7th August - live music from Richard Wileman

14th August – our first 'Folk in the Summer'. A day of live music from a number of local musicians plus Brighton-based Bird in the Belly, presenting their new album inspired by Jefferies' After London. Large marquee plus licensed bar, as well as our usual cream teas.
